Are Brazillian jiu jitsu and traditional jiu jitsu the same?

Basically I have decided what martial art I want to learn and its Jiu Jitsu, but the schools around me only teach BJJ (Brazillian Jiu jitsu) I know BJJ ads more ground fighting techniques than traditional but I was wondering if there were any more differences? Like if I were to take BJJ would I learn all the things that normal Jiu Jitsu classes would teach? I am not that interested in learning ground combat because I already have extensive freestyle and collegiate wrestling training so I would like to think I have that covered. thank you for your time.
